Work involves assembling, installing, or repairing pipes, fittings, or fixtures of heating, water, and/or draining systems. Works under moderate supervision, with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.Plumber IIPerforms complex (journey-level) installation, maintenance, and repair work of plumbing systems and components. Work involves assembling, installing, or repairing pipes, fittings, or fixtures of heating, water, and/or draining systems. May provide guidance to others. Works under general supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.Plumber IIIPerforms advanced (senior-level) installation, maintenance, and repair work of plumbing systems and components. Work involves assembling, installing, or repairing pipes, fittings, or fixtures of heating, water, and/or draining systems. Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.Plumber IVPerforms highly advanced (senior-level) installation, maintenance, and repair work of plumbing systems and components. Work involves overseeing the assembly, installation, or repair of pipes, fittings, or fixtures of heating, water, and/or draining systems. May serve as a lead worker providing direction to others. Works under minimal supervision, with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.The following Military Occupational Specialty codes are generally applicable to this position.Link Here: must fully complete the summary of experience to determine if minimum qualifications are met.ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:Plumber I 1.Performs entry level technical and preventative maintenance tasks on all plumbing equipment.2.Performs troubleshooting and maintenance procedures needed to keep all plumbing equipment operating in a safe and efficient manner.3.Assembles pipe sections, tubing, or fittings using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, or soldering, brazing, or welding stalls pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, appliances, or fixtures using hand or power stalls energy-efficient and water-conserving equipment and alternative water sources.6.Locates and marks the position of pipe installations, connections, passage holes, or fixtures in structures.7.Measures, cuts, threads, or bends pipe to required angles using hand or power tools or machines.8.Welds small pipes or special piping using specialized techniques, equipment, or materials.9.May inspect structures to assess material or equipment needs, to establish the sequence of pipe installations, or to plan installation around obstructions such as electrical wiring.10.May make est mates related to time, materials, and/or labor costs for repair jobs or project pletes appropriate documents, work orders, reports to include but not limited to documenting length of time spent on each job, materials used, and describing work completed.12.
