Kitchen Cook at Pinehurst Country ClubStart Date: May 1, 2026End Date: October 31, 2026u00a0Pinehurst Country Club, located in Denver, Colorado, seeks four (4) full-time, temporary Kitchen Cooks who will be responsible for preparing menu items as needed for member or guest service, following all state and local health and food safety regulations, following all safety procedures for operating of a fire extinguisher and utilizing basic first aid knowledge if needed, cooking and preparing a variety of food products, including meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, sauces and stocks according to the club's standard recipes using a variety of equipment, such as grills, stoves, ranges, steamers, fryers and griddles, and utensils according to the daily prep list, taking inventory of all items required for station set-up and determine those items that require preparation, coordinating and timing orders with other kitchen operations, requisitioning ingredients and tools needed to produce menu items, notifying Sous Chef of expected shortages, ensuring that assigned work areas and equipment are clean and sanitary, setting up, maintaining and breaking down prep cook station, covering, dating, and neatly storing all leftover products that are re-usable, making recommendations for maintenance, repair and upkeep of the line prep area and equipment, and closing the kitchen properly using the closing checklist.u00a0Kitchen Cooks will need to lift up to 50 pounds.u00a0Will report directly to the Executive Chef at Pinehurst Country Club.u00a0u00a0u00a0One (1) year of culinary experience at a high-end restaurant, hotel, resort, or private club required.u00a0u00a0Applicant must complete pre-employment background check at employer's expense.u00a0u00a0Travel is not required.u00a0Daily transportation to and from worksite is not provided, but workers are given bicycles.u00a0A non-refundable $100.00 security deposit is required for use of a bicycle, to be deducted from first paycheck.u00a0On-the-job training is provided.u00a0u00a0u00a0u00a0Wage: $20.83 -- $22.00 per hour, paid bi-weekly.u00a0Overtime is available at $31.25 -- $33.00 per hour.u00a0Schedule: 40 hours per week.u00a0Work schedule can vary and can include evening, weekend, and holiday hours.u00a0Work may be performed on any day of the week from Monday through Sunday.u00a0Example shifts: 6:00AM-2:00PM, 7:00AM-3:00PM, or 10:00AM-6:00PM.u00a0Shift hours may vary.u00a0A single workweek will be used to compute wages due.u00a0u00a0Optional shared housing is offered on a first-come, first-serve basis for workers who are relocating to begin employment.u00a0Cost of housing, if accepted, is $340.00 per bi-weekly pay period.u00a0If used, total cost of housing will be deducted from paycheck.u00a0A $170.00 refundable security deposit is required, to be deducted from first paycheck.u00a0Additional, optional benefits may be offered to worker, for worker's sole benefit, including but not limited to medical insurance, dental insurance, and vision insurance.u00a0If voluntarily elected by worker, employee costs/contributions for benefits will be deducted from paycheck.u00a0Workers will receive one free meal during each shift that they work. Workers will earn one (1) hour of sick time for every 30 hours worked.u00a0All deductions from paycheck required by law will be made.u00a0u00a0If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will pay directly for and/or reimburse workers for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work.u00a0Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer.u00a0The employer will pay directly for and/or reimburse workers for all reasonable inbound transportation and subsistence co ts within the first workweek.u00a0The employer will pay directly for and/or reimburse workers for all reasonable outbound transportation and subsistence costs during the last workweek.u00a0The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved.u00a0Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts.u00a0u00a0The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period.u00a0The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.u00a0H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by government (excluding passport fees).u00a0Inquire or send applications, indications of availability, and/or resumes to Colorado State Workforce Agency, Denver Westside Workforce Center, 1200 Federal Boulevard, Denver, CO 80204, (720) 337- 9675.u00a0u00a0Mail resume to Bridget Marchese, Pinehurst Country Club, 6255 West Quincy Avenue.
