Job Description Harborview Medical Center - Urology Clinic has an outstanding opportunity for a Full-time Days Program Coordinator. WORK SCHEDULE + Full-time, 100% FTE (40 hours per week) + Monday- Friday + Day Shift POSITION HIGHLIGHTS + Conveniently located near public transportation + Make a difference for the patients and employees we serve + Opportunity to provide career growth PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES + Organize work and appropriately prioritize patient care and/or projects with occasional assistance from supervisor + Objectively assist in developing systems that improve responsiveness to patients + Exhibit well-developed critical thinking skills, particularly in ambiguous situations + Demonstrate ability to operate with minimal day-to-day direction or oversight + Coordinate complex scheduling of diagnostic procedures and consultations. Work with PSS to schedule less complex referrals as well as appointments with scheduling directions in place + Facilitate scheduling of urgent referrals and procedures, working closely with the clinic medical director to triage, using knowledge of surgical procedure-specific diagnoses, CPT codes + Triage patient phone calls according to severity of need; follow through and resolve patient requests in a timely manner + Collaborate with Business Operations Supervisor and PSS to create, update and maintain all clinic templating that meets the needs of patients, clinic staff and providers + Sit at the front desk on clinic day to assist with scheduling follow-ups when patients leave their appointments REQUIREMENTS + High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of experience in the program specialty + OR + Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration ABOUT HARBORVIEW MEDICAL CENTER As the region's only Level I Trauma and verified burn center, Harborview Medical Center is a comprehensive healthcare facility owned by King County and operated by UW Medicine.
