Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Human Resources professional who is intentional about building their career through exposure to strategic business initiatives and who wants to be part of a high-performing, collaborative HR team. In this critical role, you will partner with a multi-state division that requires a proactive, business-oriented HR Business Partner with strong organizational, communication, and execution skills. This is a hands-on role that balances both tactical and strategic execution of business unit level projects and activities, while maintaining alignment with enterprise-wide HR programs and priorities. You will serve as a trusted advisor to division leadership, an advocate for employees, and an active member of the HRBP team focused on designing, optimizing, and implementing talent and people programs that directly impact the employee and manager experience. The ideal candidate has a demonstrated track record of driving organizational impact in a mid-to-large, matrixed environment and thrives in a highly collaborative, in-person work setting where relationship-building and presence matter. _Note: This is not a remote role and prioritizes on-site working hours._ Position Details + Build strong, trusted partnerships with division leadership and effective relationships with employees at all levels. + Serve as a primary advisor on complex employee relations matters, including investigations, performance management, and conflict resolution. + Partner with leaders and Talent Acquisition to execute workforce plans and ensure timely, high-quality hiring aligned to business needs. + Support performance management and compensation processes by coaching leaders and enabling thoughtful, fair decision-making. + Facilitate employee engagement survey feedback sessions and project manage action planning and follow-through. + Partner with the business and Early Career team to guide and continuously improve the college recruiting and internship programs. + Collaborate closely with HR Centers of Excellence (TA, Talent Management, Total Rewards, and L&D) to deploy programs that meet business and employee needs. + Lead and project manage division-level HR initiatives with a strong focus on process improvement and operational excellence. Advise and coach managers on complex employee relations matters including investigations, performance management, and performance improvement. + Support workforce planning efforts in partnership with Sr. HRBP and Talent Acquisition to ensure timely, effective hiring aligned to business needs. + Supports employee engagement activities that support division-wide action plans. Qualifications + Bacheloru2019s degree required (HR, OD, Business, or related). + If degree is in another field, PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP required. + 8u201310 years of progressive HR experience, including 3u20134 years in an HR Business Partner role. + Experience supporting both professional and skilled labor populations; Union / CBA / labor relations experience a ++. + Experience supporting multi-site or remote locations. + Construction, engineering, or similarly complex operational environment experience strongly preferred. + Strong ability to influence without authority and build credibility with leaders and employees across a matrix organization. + Comfort moving seamlessly between strategic thinking and tactical execution. + Deep working knowledge of employment law, employee relations, performance management, compensation, and workforce planning. + Ability to navigate ambiguity, solve complex people issues, and provide practical, thoughtful guidance. + Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. + A collaborative, in-person work style that values partnership, communication, and shared problem solving. Ability to travel approximately ~15-20% to divisional locations throughout AZ, NV, UT, WY, NM, El Paso, TX.
