Eatonu2019s Corporate Sector division is currently seeking a Engineering Manager-Power Electronics Control. The expected annual salary range for this role is $137000 - $201000 a year. What youu2019ll do: Eaton is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager-Power Electronics Control for its Power Electronics (PE) Center of Excellence (CoE) team in Raleigh, NC. Work sponsorship and relocation offered. Eatonu2019s PE CoE accelerates the companyu2019s growth by developing power electronics platforms and common hardware building blocks that are scalable, cost-effective, and manufacturable. These platforms and blocks, along with standardized design methodologies, can be adopted by multiple business units, providing a foundation for rapidly developing innovative products. The team manager will be responsible for leading and directing a team of engineers and internal projects, as well as designing and building innovative power electronics solutions for power conversion and protection. This position requires a technically strong engineer with leadership skills capable of managing a cross-functional team and collaborating with global teams. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: u2022 Leads and directs a team of engineers and projects to achieve stated goals and objectives. u2022 Monitors and reports on overall performance of the team and projects. Establishes a performance-based culture, motivating the team to set and achieve measurable goals and objectives that align with PE CoE strategies. u2022 Performs design, modeling, simulation, and implementation of power electronics solutions for power conversion and protection. u2022 Develops technical requirements and creates technical reports and presentations. u2022 Works with the PE CoE director to attract, coach, and mentor team members, strengthening the technical capability of the team. u2022 Stays current with the latest power electronics technologies and business trends, applies knowledge to power conversion and protection applications, and creates new opportunities. Qualifications: Basic (Required) Qualifications: u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in engineering from an accredited institution. u2022 Minimum 7 years of industry experience in developing power electronics control or motor control, including the development of control architecture, algorithms, and embedded firmware. u2022 Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with control and embedded FW validation with HIL (e.g., OPAL-RT HIL) u2022 Minimum 3 years of experience in team or project leadership Preferred Qualifications: u2022 Master's or PhD in electrical engineering or a related field. u2022 Proficient in modeling, simulation, and analysis using Matlab/Simulink. u2022 Extensive hands-on experience with power electronics testing. u2022 Experienced in embedded firmware architecture and programming in C/C++. u2022 Proficient in developing and implementing controls with auto-code generation tools (e.g., Simulink Coder). u2022 Strong expertise in digital controls. u2022 Experienced in project management. u2022 Knowledgeable in engineering processes (e.g., DFSS). u2022 Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
