TheAssociate Director of Software Engineering will drive the strategy,architecture, and delivery of our next-generation laboratory informationsystems (LIS). This role demands a proven leader who can blend deeptechnical and clinical lab domain expertise with a people-firstleadership style, fostering an empowered, product-driven engineeringculture. You will partner closely with Product, Scientific, and other ITspecializations to deliver secure, scalable, and flexible solutions thatprovide measurable business and patient value. Essential Duties includebut are not limited to the following: Raise capabilities in theengineering team; including, but not limited to, developing coding,testing, and deployment protocols and best practices. Maintain strongrelationships and transparency with key stakeholders (Lab, Sales,Support, Customers, and Affiliates). Partner with business andtechnology teams to prioritize roadmaps, requirements, balance businessneed with capacity, and technology constraints. Influence seniorengineering and business leaders to drive increased capability thoughengineering processes and technologies. Work with business stakeholdersand engineering teams to design innovative solutions to complexchallenges faced by the Company. Supervise staff; including, but notlimited to, organize and prioritize work, write/conduct performancereviews, train/develop, and manage work performance. Communicategoalsclearly to employees to ensure understanding and success in achievingthem. Motivateandinspireemployees to do their best work throughcoaching. Maintainmorale and support employee engagement initiatives.Ability to apply good process management, negotiating, influencing, andproblem resolution skills.
