Jacobs is seeking a highly experienced Senior Pipe Stress Engineer to support our growing Life Sciences and Biopharmaceutical portfolio at our Cincinnati, Ohio location. This role will serve as a technical authority in piping and tubing stress analysis, providing leadership on complex projects while mentoring and developing junior engineers. The position offers flexibility to work hybrid, or from our Cincinnati, Ohio office.This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with deep technical expertise in ASME piping codes, hands-on biopharmaceutical project experience, and a passion for technical excellence and team leadership.Key Responsibilities:u2022 Lead and perform pipe and tube stress analysis for complex Life Sciences and biopharmaceutical facilities.u2022 Apply expert-level knowledge of:u2022 ASME B31.3 - Process Pipingu2022 ASME B31.1 - Power Pipingu2022 ASME Biopharmaceutical (BPE) Codeu2022 Execute and review stress analyses for both piping and tubing systems, including:u2022 Thermal expansion and contractionu2022 Sustained, operating, and occasional load casesu2022 Equipment nozzle load evaluationsu2022 Support and restraint design recommendationsu2022 Provide technical oversight and quality assurance for stress deliverables across multiple projects.u2022 Mentor, guide, and technically supervise junior and mid-level pipe stress engineers.u2022 Coordinate and communicate effectively with international engineering teams across multiple time zones.u2022 Interface with project managers, piping designers, structural engineers, and clients to resolve technical challenges.u2022 Support development of project standards, best practices, and stress analysis workflows.u2022 Participate in project planning, staffing, and technical risk mitigation for major Life Sciences projects. u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent engineering degree will be considered).u2022 10+ years of professional experience in pipe stress engineering.u2022 Extensive experience with biopharmaceutical and Life Sciences piping systems.u2022 Strong working knowledge of ASME B31.3, ASME B31.1, and ASME BPE.u2022 Proven experience performing both pipe stress and tube stress analysis.u2022 Proficiency with industry-standard pipe stress software (e.g., AutoPIPE, CAESAR II, ROHR2, or equivalent).u2022 Demonstrated ability to lead technical efforts and mentor engineers.u2022 Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ideally you'll also have:u2022 Professional Engineer (PE) license in one or more U.S. states.u2022 Willingness and ability to obtain additional state licensure.u2022 Experience serving as a technical lead or discipline lead on large capital projects.u2022 Prior experience working with global engineering teams.u2022 Familiarity with GMP environments and regulated Life Sciences facilities.u2022 Experience supporting equipment vendors and resolving nozzle load or vibration concerns.#LifeSciences, #Bio/Pharma, #EPCMV, #globallifescience#LI-SH1Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
