This internship is designed for a student currently enrolled in an accredited college/university and pursuing a Bacheloru2019s or Ph.D. degree in a field within the chemical sciences. Prior training in synthetic organic chemistry and a strong interest in reaction discovery and optimization are required. This role will provide the intern with exposure to the Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine research engine at the intersection between Discovery and Process chemistry. Interns will gain real-life training in the skills and tools relevant to employment within the broader area of drug discovery. Beyond gaining industrial experience and networking, the intern will contribute to the design and development of novel, robust, and scalable chemical transformations with an opportunity to present and publish their work. Co-Ops/Interns are eligible to participate in Company sponsored employee medical benefits in accordance with the terms of the plan. Co-Ops and Interns are eligible for the following sick time benefits: up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington, up to 56 hours per calendar year.
