Overview HD Biosciences, Inc. (San Diego), a WuXi AppTec Company, is expanding its In Vitro Immunology team. Weu2019re seeking a highly skilled and motivated Research Associate II to support our team for cell line generation, and cell-based assays for various projects. Responsibilities u2022 Works on routine assignments per written procedures, where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required. u2022 Normally receives minimal instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on new assignments. u2022 Works under close supervision from supervisor or senior personnel. u2022 Performs support functions in cell line generation and cell-based assays u2022 Ability to work in a team environment and independently as required u2022 May be required to work Holidays and weekends u2022 May be required to work Overtime u2022 Contributes to the overall operations and to the achievement of departmental goals u2022 Perform job specific tasks in compliance with applicable Regulations, International Standards, and WuXi AppTec Policies and Standard Operating Procedures. u2022 Thorough understanding of Good Laboratory Practices and Good Manufacturing Practices u2022 Other duties as assigned u2022 May be required to assist in other departments Qualifications u2022 Ability to perform routine work following SOPs with minimum supervision u2022 Deep understanding of molecular biology and cell biology and proved hand-on experience in mammalian cell culture u2022 Good communication skills to work with different equipment vendors and technical support team u2022 Ability to learn quickly to master the operation and general maintenance of major instruments u2022 Detail-oriented, good at multitasking and ability to work with multiple teams Education / Experience: u2022 Masteru2019s degree in Molecular and Cell Biology or BS in Biology or related field u2022 2+ years of experience u2022 Demonstrated strong understanding of complex scientific procedures with technical proficiency in molecular and cell biology u2022 Outstanding written and oral communication skills, and interpersonal skills to seamlessly fit within a teamwork driven environment. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities: u2022 Proficient in Oral & Written communication skills u2022 Need to be able to read, write and understand English u2022 Proficient in Microsoft (Excel, Word, Outlook) Physical Requirements: u2022 Must be able to work in an office environment with minimal noise conditions. u2022 Must be able to work in Lab setting with exposure to Animals/biohazards / Chemicals u2022 Must be able to wear appropriate PPE u2022 Must be able to work in environment with variable noise levels u2022 Ability to stand /Sit/walk for long periods of time u2022 Ability to Lift 10 lbs routinely u2022 Ability to crouch, bend, twist, and reach u2022 Ability to push/pull 10 lbs routinely/ often / occasionally u2022 Clarity of Vision u2022 Ability to identify and distinguish colors u2022 Must be able to perform activities with repetitive motions u2022 Ability to climb Ladders / Stairs / Scaffolding u2022 Ability to work in variable temperatures high to freezing u2022 Inside/outside working conditions Anticipated salary range: $21.67 to $28.06 An Equal Opportunity Employer.
