Job Summary: Drake University is seeking applicants for a part-time assistant coach. The successful candidate will support a positive academic, athletic, and social environment for student-athletes while creating a culture of excellence and ethics. Skills Needed: u2022 Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. u2022 Ability to build rapport and students, coaches and staff. u2022 Skills to help student-athletes improve through training / coaching. u2022 Ability to complete work within deadlines under little guidance. u2022 Ability to develop and sustain relationships with prospective student athletes, parents, and coaches. Minimum Qualifications: u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree required. u2022 Knowledge and basic proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel u2022 Knowledge of applicable NCAA Rules and regulations. Preferred Qualifications: u2022 Experience playing at the collegiate level preferred. u2022 Masteru2019s degree preferred. u2022 Coaching experience at the collegiate or professional level preferred. Job Duties: + 60% - Assist with coaching and development of student-athletes + 20% - Assist with recruitment of student-athletes + 10% - Assist with organization and execution of all practice sessions and meetings + 10% - Complete other tasks as assigned by the head coach Special Instructions to Applicants: This position will receive a monthly stipend and is not eligible for benefits.
