Description We are looking for an experienced Payroll Manager to join our team in Cleveland, Ohio. This contract position offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring four days onsite and one day remote per week. The role involves overseeing payroll operations in a dynamic, detail-oriented services environment, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all payroll-related activities. Responsibilities: u2022 Oversee the complete payroll process for all employees, ensuring timely and accurate execution. u2022 Act as the primary administrator for ADP Workforce Now, managing payroll processing, reporting, and system updates. u2022 Ensure compliance with multi-state payroll requirements, as well as federal, state, and local regulations. u2022 Manage payroll tax filings, reconciliations, and coordinate with external vendors. u2022 Handle year-end payroll tasks, including W-2 generation and audit preparation. u2022 Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to address employee changes, benefits deductions, garnishments, bonuses, and special payroll runs. u2022 Prepare and reconcile payroll-related general ledger entries and financial reports. u2022 Respond to employee payroll inquiries with discretion and confidentiality. u2022 Develop and implement payroll policies, procedures, and internal controls. u2022 Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and insights. Requirements u2022 At least 7 years of payroll experience in a corporate or detail-oriented services setting; experience in a law firm is preferred. u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in a relevant field. u2022 Direct, hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now is mandatory. u2022 Comprehensive knowledge of payroll regulations, tax compliance, and wage and hour laws. u2022 Proven experience managing multi-state payroll operations. u2022 Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. u2022 Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion. u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and effective communication skills for cross-department collaboration.
