State of Idaho Opportunity Deputy Attorney General, Special Prosecutions Unit (ICAC) Closing Date: Open until filled. Start Date: To be determined upon hire. Salary: Starting at $90,000 - Depends on Experience (DOE). Primary Duties: The successful applicant will work in eastern Idaho as a prosecutor for the Idaho Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force. This position will prosecute crimes involving child sexual exploitation in the Fifth, Sixth, and Seventh judicial districts with a majority caseload in eastern Idaho. Office location is flexible in eastern Idaho and will depend on where the successful applicant lives or plans to live. The person that fills this position will be the only prosecutor located in eastern Idaho who works for the Attorney General and may occasionally be asked to stand in for hearings in other cases prosecuted by the Office in eastern and south-central Idaho. The successful applicant must be independent, self-motivated, and able to work with little or no supervision. Primary duties include handling all aspects of criminal prosecution, from search warrant review and screening through trail and sentencing; working closely with investigators throughout the state and appearing in courtrooms throughout eastern and south-central Idaho. The Office of the Attorney General prioritizes the mental health and wellbeing of all ICAC personnel. Each ICAC prosecutor is required to meet with a mental health professional annually. Minimum Qualifications: + Must hold an active Idaho Bar license and have first-chair jury trial experience. + Must have the ability to frequently travel throughout eastern and south-central Idaho, and occasionally travel statewide. + A valid driveru2019s license is required. + Must be comfortable managing cases with media attention and demonstrate a strong enthusiasm for public service. Preferred Qualifications: + At least two years of prosecution experience in district court, including experience prosecuting ICAC cases. + Familiarity with Fourth Amendment jurisprudence on the search and seizure of electronic devices and data stored in the cloud.
