Thinking beyond opportunity and reward, at Flowserve, we are inspired by working together to create extraordinary flow control solutions to make the world better for everyone Role Summary: As a Sales Engineer for Flowserveu2019s Pump Division, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing strong relationships with key customers and trade organizations across North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Georgia. In this role, you will identify regional market trends specific to pump applications, strengthen purchase agreements, and solidify longu2011term customer alliances. You will also build a deep understanding of Flowserveu2019s pump products, services, and operations to enhance your selling effectiveness. Additionally, you will coordinate sales efforts with internal teams and thirdu2011party channel partners to ensure comprehensive coverage and growth throughout the region. Responsibilities: u2022 Drive bookings levels to meet and/or exceed assigned bookings goal u2022 Maintain regular, planned communication with key customers in the area you support u2022 Develop and implement marketing plans aligned with regional sales objectives to support organizational goals u2022 Serve customers as a primary contact for all business dealings, ensuring all customer concerns are being addressed including proposals, deliveries, repairs, quality, warranty claims, etc. u2022 Educate customers on the quality, features, and uses of our products through the full use of the companyu2019s marketing materials u2022 Collaborate with application engineers, customer service, and manufacturing to ensure customersu2019 needs are met u2022 Maintain organized records, including regular reports, quotes, status, actuals, expenses, etc. u2022 Other duties as assigned Requirements: u2022 BS or BA degree in a relevant field OR 5u20137 years of relevant experience u2022 Skilled at product demonstrations, presentations, and business writing u2022 Proficient in technology such as Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint u2022 Demonstrate financial acumen to discuss business decisions, particularly return on investment in support of solution selling u2022 Able to work independently, efficiently, and communicate productively with others u2022 Some physical activity required, such as walking large customer sites, lifting at least 50 lbs, and ascending/descending ladders and staircases in multiu2011story facilities Preferred: u2022 Sales experience with rotating equipment such as pumps and mechanical seals u2022 Experience in the oil and gas, power, paper, and chemical industries u2022 Training in sales techniques, negotiations, and business finance u2022 Ability to lead root-cause failure analysis and communicate results u2022 Strong verbal and written communication skills u2022 Project management experience is a plus u2022 SAP (Oracle) Benefits: Flowserve offers competitive pay, annual bonuses, medical benefits on day 1, generous paid vacation time, paid holidays, 401(k) and many other excellent benefits Flowserve is a world-leading manufacturer and aftermarket service provider of comprehensive flow control systems.
