The Opportunity Note: Role may be filled at Sr. Underwriter (3F) or Underwriter (3G) depending on candidate experience.Responsible for executing and facilitating the day-to-day strategic objectives for a given Consumer Underwriting Sales Territory. The focus will be on supporting the Underwriting Manager and Consumer Underwriters with daily territory maintenance activities. This role comes with more challenging targets and requirements than the Consumer Underwriter (3G) role. The Work Itself Maximize portfolio revenue by practicing sound underwriting judgment and risk management principles. Ensure compliance with underwriting policies; elevate risk issues, and stay abreast of constant changes in policy and procedures. Limited travel will be required for this role. Requires flexibility in work schedule, evening hours and weekends may be required. Demonstrated strong performance in managing key relationships and/or key markets to drive business plan results. The Skills You Bring 3F - Sr. Underwriter 3+ years in auto finance underwriting (prime, sub-prime, and/or non-prime) is preferred. 2+ years leadership experience preferred. Bachelor's degree in related field strongly preferred. Ability to provide advice/direction in primary areas of expertise leveraging technical expertise and relationships to contribute to strategy and drive business results. Contribute to and manage projects. Excellent sales, negotiation, problem solving, analytical, and project management skills. Exemplary dealer relationship management skills. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs.Base Pay Range: $70,000 - $85,000 - $100,0003G - Underwriter Bacheloru2019s degree required; equivalent experience can be used in lieu of a degree 1+ years in auto finance consumer underwriting (prime, sub-prime, and/or non-prime), or financial services is required Ability to perform technical based activities Knowledge of and exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts.
