Job Title: CNC Laser Operator Job Description We are seeking a skilled CNC Laser Operator to join our team in Nashville. This role involves standing on your feet all day, operating CNC machines, and ensuring the laser cutting table is clean and prepped for the next orders. This position requires experience in CNC machines, laser operations, the metal industry, and forklift/overhead crane operations. Responsibilities + Operate a CNC Laser Machine throughout the day. + Stand for extended periods while managing machine operations. + Clean the machine and prepare it for subsequent orders. + Read blueprints, drawings, and renderings to execute job requirements. + Cut sheet metal using the laser machine as per work orders. + Maintain a clean and organized work area. Essential Skills + Experience with CNC machines. + Proficiency in laser operations. + Familiarity with the metal industry. + Ability to operate forklifts and overhead cranes. + Competence in reading and interpreting blueprints. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with measuring tools like tape measures. + Knowledge of sheet metal production. + Understanding of laser technology and machine operation. + Experience in steel manufacturing. Work Environment Work in a non-climate-controlled steel warehouse with a team of 30. The role requires wearing steel-toed boots and ear protection. The position operates Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nashville, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
