Job Description The Sr. Data Engineer is responsible for designing and managing the organization's data architecture to ensure data is structured, integrated, and accessible for business intelligence, analytics, and operational needs. This role involves developing data models, defining data standards, and implementing data solutions that align with enterprise goals. Maintain and support company data stores, primarily Snowflake on Azure, SQL, and integrations with SAP S/4 HANA. This role gives a wide range of opportunities and experience in database design, implementation, and support. This person is key in making sure our data systems are built well, secure, and highly available u2022 Design and implement enterprise data architecture strategies and frameworks. u2022 Design and optimize data models and databases for performance and scalability. u2022 Align data solutions with business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. u2022 Maintain documentation on all systems, models, and data flows in your area of responsibility as directed. u2022 Develop and execute complex SQL queries. u2022 Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data management, Power BI, and SQL reporting. u2022 Ensure stable database application performance. u2022 Install, configure, and support database platforms. u2022 Coordinate SAP HANA change activities with stakeholders. u2022 Define and maintain database backup, retention and archival strategies. u2022 Enable Dev/DataOpsu2019 data system needs. u2022 Monitor and tune data system performance. u2022 Deploy database change scripts; ensure new code meets standards. u2022 Lead database workstreams across IT projects. u2022 Collaborate closely with client technical/business stakeholders. u2022 Monitor for and Escalate sensitive/security issues and suspected major problems promptly. u2022 Participate in 24/7 on-call coverage for critical database needs. u2022 Other duties as assigned.
