Member Benefits Advocate, Hybrid role in DTLA Must have: + 2+ years of Experience with Benefits/enrollment with a health plan work from home Fridays, except during October, which is enrollment season) Description The Benefits Analyst will be responsible for benefit administration practices, processing procedures, client-specific provisions, and alternatives for service delivery. The Benefits Analyst is also responsible for reviewing, updating, and managing eligibility data, responding to HR, billing, and payroll inquiries, reviewing, and responding to carrier file error reports, completes quality assurance testing of internal web applications and attends training sessions to build knowledge of internal and industry topics and trends. The Benefits Analyst ensures services are being completed within the defined deadlines and that documentation exists for all ongoing processes. The Benefits Analyst coordinates closely with the Benefits Analyst, Delivery Leads, Client Service Representatives, and external Human Resource Representatives. The Benefits Analyst will assist members in resolving issues, answering product and program inquiries, and providing an overall positive member experience. Skills Benefits, Health Plan, Administration , Excel, Access, Word, Member Services Top Skills Details Benefits, Health Plan, Administration , Excel, Access, Word, Member Services Additional Skills & Qualifications The ideal candidate is someone who has worked for the surrounding LA Health Plans and comfortable with face-to-face customer service u00b7 Bacheloru2019s Degree, or relevant experience, in business, human resources or related field u00b7 Minimum of 2 years of experience in of experience in Benefits, COBRA administration u00b7 Knowledge of HIPAA, ERISA, Cafeteria Plan Rules and/or state benefit continuation guidelines preferred u00b7 Experience with data entry u00b7 Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Platforms, HRIS and Payroll Systems, and Access u00b7 Excellent verbal and written communication skills u00b7 Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments u00b7 Ability to work in a fast paced organization demonstrating initiative and independence BILINGUAL in Spanish preferred Experience Level Expert Level Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Los Angeles, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
