Direct Support Professional

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour Job Types: Full-time, Part-timeJob Description:The Direct Support Professional (DSP) plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities. This position involves providing compassionate care and support to clients in various settings. The DSP will assist clients with daily living activities, promote independence, job coaching and ensure a safe and clean environment while adhering to all relevant regulations, including HIPAA.Responsibilities:u2022 Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.u2022 Prepare meals and assist with meal planning to meet dietary needs.u2022 Maintain a clean and organized living space for clients.u2022 Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being.u2022 Document client progress and report any changes in behavior or health to the appropriate personnel.u2022 Support clients in accessing community resources and participating in recreational activities.u2022 Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations while providing care.u2022 Support clients on job sites.u2022 Assist clients on their job.u2022 Communicate with supervisors/coworkers.Experience:u2022 Previous experience in a nursing home or group home setting is preferred.u2022 Background in social work or related fields is a plus.u2022 Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.u2022 Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality is essential.u2022 Skills in meal preparation and cooking are beneficial for assisting clients with their dietary needs.u2022 A caring attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are critical for success in this role.Join our team as a Direct Support Professional to provide essential services that empower individuals to live fulfilling lives.
