Job Description Shift: u2022 Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday 9:30 am - 6 pm u2003u25cb There is flexibility with the schedule and timing Overview: Insight Global is seeking an experienced Expressive Activity Therapist to support a 150-bed, short-term, acute care hospital providing comprehensive behavioral healthcare for children, adolescents, adults, and senior adults. This candidate will be administratively and clinically responsible for providing recreational/expressive therapies activities for adolescents, and adults from the ages of 5-65+. Assume delegated responsibility as liaison to treatment teams in which they must exhibit in-depth knowledge in assessment and prescription of Expressive Therapy program for individual patient needs. Responsibilities: u2022 Knowledge of Recreational therapy standards of practice as certified by the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification. u2022 Knowledge of group dynamics and the provisions of a therapeutically safe environment. u2022 Ability to establish and maintain an empathetic therapeutic relationship with patients. u2022 Ability to assess and document patient progress during treatment. u2022 Ability to communicate clinical input as a member of the patientu2019s multidisciplinary treatment team. u2022 Ability to function as a Handle With Care team member.
