The ideal candidate is a recognized professional with hands-on expertise and an excellent understanding of engineering processes supporting large, National Defense, Agile software development programs. Essential Duties & Responsibilities + Serve as a platform engineering contributor within an integration team at the customer site + Support the integration and deployment of applications into containerized PaaS environments + Design and implement deployment strategies across development, test, and operational systems + Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines supporting secure and repeatable application delivery + Integrate development tools for: + Artifact management + Automated testing + Code quality and security analysis + Troubleshoot deployed applications and platform services; perform root-cause analysis + Work closely with other engineers and integration team members to resolve technical issues + Interface with customer stakeholders to support platform operations and application onboarding + Contribute to platform documentation, standards, and best practices + Participate in Agile ceremonies and technical discussions + Support continuous improvement, automation, and platform reliability efforts + Perform other duties as assigned Required Skills & Experience + Secret clearance + Bacheloru2019s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience) + 8+ years of professional experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or a related role + 3+ years of experience administering Linux systems + 2+ years of experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) + 2+ years of experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines + Experience with artifact management and version control systems + Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in distributed systems + Ability to work 100% on-site at a customer location + Strong verbal and written communication skills + Detail-oriented and able to work independently while collaborating with a team Desired Skills & Experience + Experience with GitLab CI/CD or similar CI/CD platforms + Experience creating and maintaining Helm charts + Experience with artifact repositories such as Artifactory + Experience integrating systems in government or secure environments + Familiarity with platform security and compliance considerations + Experience mentoring or supporting junior engineers + Previous experience in customer-facing technical roles Application Deadline: March 30, 2026 #CJPost #LI-onsite The SMX salary determination process takes into account a number of factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories, relevant prior work experience, specific skills, education and certifications.
