About the Role: As a CBRE Data Center Technical Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of CBRE Technical Services for global data center clients. Accountable for pricing, delivery, and scope of vendor maintenance contracts, development of market leading process, and critical operations documentation. Deliver technical service support to business to maintain 100% uptime and achieve account plan ensuring all technical services meet client SLAs. As the Technical Manager at CBRE Data Center Solutions, you will fulfill two primary functions: serving as a Subject Matter Expert and overseeing Critical Environment Risk Management (CERM) Governance. In the first role, you will provide technical expertise in electrical, mechanical, and fire protection systems, acting as a key resource for site operations teams to address operational and maintenance challenges. In the second role, you will manage Critical Environment Risk Management processes, including reporting on key performance indicators and implementing risk management strategies to ensure the stability and safety of critical environments. This position demands a strong engineering foundation to support both operational reliability and risk mitigation efforts. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems. What Youu2019ll Do: + Deliver manager employee training programs relating to new and existing processes to improve awareness. + Work with Technical Leads to develop, track and maintain procedures and policies. + Manage technical library content and structure globally. + Execute operational and performance risk assessment. + Apply a broad knowledge of the business, own discipline, and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives. + Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence others to adopt a different point of view while being guided by policies and departmental plans. + Identify and solve technical and operational problems of complexity. + Understand and recognize the broader impact across the department. + Improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within job discipline. Oversight on SHIELD/CERM Implementation and Reporting on the following areas: u2022 Client Contract Review for Client Requirements u2022 Critical Infrastructure Drawing and Document Management u2022 Site Operational RACI u2022 Staffing Analysis u2022 Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery Plans u2022 Qualification & Human Error Training u2022 Mock Scenario Drills Testing u2022 Maintenance Planning u2022 Operational Procedures (SOP, EOP, MOP) u2022 Incident Support u2022 Critical Work Planning u2022 Critical Infrastructure Capacity Management u2022 Root Cause Analysis and After after-action reports u2022 Risk Register Management u2022 Data Center Floor Airflow Management Technical Expertise & Knowledge Operation, maintenance, and repair of data center critical infrastructure, including: u2022 Standby generators, UPS systems, Power Distribution Units (PDUs), and Automatic Transfer Switches (ATSs). u2022 Air-cooled and water-cooled chilled water plants and distribution systems. u2022 Computer Room Air Handlers (CRAHs) and Air Conditioners (CRACs). u2022 Water treatment and filtration systems. u2022 Building Management Systems (BMS), Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS), Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), and Data Center Information Management systems (DCIM). Engineering Knowledge of: u2022 Psychrometric charts, HVAC load calculations, and hydronic pipe sizing. u2022 Reading electrical one-lines, chilled, and condenser water diagrams. u2022 Standard sequences of operation for electrical and mechanical data center systems. u2022 Electrical power calculations per NFPA 70 (NEC), coordination, arc-flash studies (NFPA 70E), and maintenance practices (NFPA 70B). u2022 Industry standards, including ASHRAE Datacom/TC 9.9 and OCP publications. u2022 Principles of preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance. u2022 Energy efficiency metrics (e.g., PUE, WUE) and sustainable data center practices. What Youu2019ll Need: + Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. + Bacheloru2019s degree in mechanical, electrical, or related engineering field is preferred + Highly adaptable and communicative leader with 10+ years of experience managing facility engineering teams is preferred. + In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. + Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mind. + Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department. + Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle problems. + Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention preferred. + Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), Building Management Systems (BMS), Data Center Information Management systems (DCIM), and Electrical Power Management Systems (EPMS) is preferred. + Skilled in Bluebeam and/or CAD software is preferred. The minimum salary for the Technical Manager position is $140,000 annually [or $67.30 per hour] and the maximum salary for the Technical Manager position is $155,000 annually [or $74.52 per hour].
