About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Market Risk Officer for the Data Management & Maintenance (DMM) team within Market & Counterparty Risk Management (MCRM). DMM is responsible for sourcing, validating, and maintaining the data used across MCRM for risk management, regulatory reporting, capital processes, and stress testing. The team also partners closely with business lines and technology groups to strengthen the firmu2019s strategic data foundation. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and experience working across crossu2011functional teams. This role focuses on the data, systems, and controls that support market and counterparty risk reporting, with particular emphasis on upcoming strategic data initiatives. The position requires regular collaboration with MCRM teams, business data partners, and technology groups. Key Responsibilities: + Collaborate with front office teams, market risk SMEs, and technology partners to deliver data and reporting solutions. + Lead strategic initiatives to enhance risk data, infrastructure, and control frameworks. + Analyze data to identify issues, determine root causes, and recommend remediation strategies. + Balance independent analytical work with team priorities and broader MCRM objectives. + Partner with peer groups across market risk to strengthen shared processes and improve data quality. + Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and coaching to junior team members. Required Qualifications: + 5+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: trading, desk analyst, Capital Markets, market risk, interest rate risk or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education Desired Qualifications: + Strong technical skills with SQL or similar tools + Good Microsoft office skills + Strong communication skills + Analytical mindset + Background in trading, middle office, or risk management + Experience with Wells Fargo trading and/or risk systems a plus + CFA or FRM a plus Posting Locations: + 550 S.
