Hybrid/On Site positions: Must be WI resident or willing to relocate. No designated work-space will be assigned however, selected candidate must be available to work at our location as needed. Description : The Database Architect IV position will focus on database design and the ongoing support and administration of SQL and Oracle databases for specific applications and development work for Client program areas. The DBA should be an expert at writing and debugging complex SQL and understand the best ways to incorporate database requests into application programs. The applicant must be capable of creating scripts and stored procedures, provide recommendations for performance tuning, understand the complexities with change management in Software Development Life Cycles and should have an understanding of the overall DBMS implementation and knowledge that will help with formal design of relational databases and provide insight into strategic data manipulation. This environment includes a variety of application databases, data warehouses and multidimensional databases. General maintenance will be required to clean and maintain the databases to include but not limited to removing and deleting old data and system monitoring for Oracle and SQL database job functions. The applicant should be familiar with a variety of the fields concepts, practices, and procedures and can rely on their extensive experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals. This role requires primary and current experience to be with SQL database solutions 2008 and 2012r. Experience and knowledge with Oracle 11 and 12, SharePlex or Golden Gate for data migration is recommended. The job will require the person to communicate and collaborate with Clients internal and external partners. This position does perform a variety of tasks; so a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Experience with enterprise class applications with mission critical functionality which contain sensitive information such as PII is required. Experience with government regulations on Security, data encryption as defined by the regulations is recommended. Having experience with solutions used by the State of Wisconsin, such as eWiSACWis, KIDS, and CARES is beneficial.
