Clerical duties may include but are not limited to:way finding, documentation in EMR, utilization of proper phoneetiquette. Patient care duties may include but are not limited to:detailed/clear communication by phone and in person to prepare patientsfor studies, supporting patient transfers, assisting patients with basicneeds, transporting patients to and from the imaging department andassisting technologists with performing imaging studies. Other duties asassigned. EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: One year experience in a clinical orhospital setting is preferred. EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: High Schooldiploma or equivalent is preferred. SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION: Abilityto concentrate and pay close attention to detail when performing care,resolving patient care problems and dealing with patients and families.Ability to use general medical support equipment, including patientlifting devices; understand and follow instructions, as well as giveclear directions to patients and others in need of assistance andguidance; good listening skills. Ability to use standard officeequipment including computers, fax, copy, document scanners, and tubestations. Knowledge of basic medical terminology and human anatomy.LICENSURE DESCRIPTION: American Heart Association (AHA) Basic LifeSupport for the healthcare provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalentis required within 90 days of hire.
