Position Overview: Hidden Level is transforming airspace safety with innovative, scalable drone detection and airspace technology. We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to manage and improve the infrastructure that supports the development, production, and deployment of our state-of-the-art sensor network. This role plays a critical part in ensuring system reliability, scalability, and security across on-premises and cloud environments. Location: This position may be remote, hybrid, or onsite at our Syracuse, NY office. Responsibilities: u2022 Design, extend, and harden DevOps infrastructure supporting product development and production systems u2022 Design scalable deployment and configuration strategies for on-premises and cloud-based environments u2022 Investigate, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines and supporting architecture u2022 Improve automation, regression testing, and test coverage to reduce developer touch time u2022 Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production system issues to minimize downtime u2022 Evaluate, prioritize, and remediate infrastructure and operational problems u2022 Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system design and implementation u2022 Participate in design and code reviews u2022 Document system architectures and clearly communicate technical decisions to peers and stakeholders What Weu2019re Looking For: u2022 Strong interpersonal and communication skills u2022 Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment u2022 A proactive problem-solver with a passion for improving infrastructure and developer workflows u2022 A desire to stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices Required Qualifications: u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field u2022 3+ years of relevant professional experience u2022 Experience deploying and maintaining cloud-native solutions (AWS, Azure, or similar) u2022 Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as SaltStack, Ansible, or Chef u2022 Expertise with configuration management and version control systems (Git, Perforce) u2022 Experience managing CI/CD platforms (GitLab, Jenkins, Bamboo, JFrog Artifactory, etc.) u2022 Proficiency with Shell/Bash and at least one scripting language (Python, Ruby, etc.) u2022 Expert-level Linux systems administration experience, including configuration, hardening, upgrades, and troubleshooting u2022 Familiarity with on-premises and cloud cybersecurity best practices u2022 Ability to travel up to 10% Preferred Qualifications: u2022 Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, or a strong drive to learn u2022 Experience working in multi-cloud environments, or a strong desire to develop this skill set Compensation and Benefits: Hidden Level offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid parental leave, flexible time off, 401(k) with employer contributions, life insurance, disability insurance, and potential stock options. Salary Range : The anticipated salary range for this position based out of Syracuse, NY is estimated at $90,800 to $113,500 annually.
