Hvac Service Technician

Job Title: Commercial HVAC Technician Pay: $20.00-$30.00/hr. (based on experience) Shift: 1st Shift Location: Rochester, NY Job Description A Commercial HVAC Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in commercial settings such as offices, retail stores, and other business establishments. The technician will work with blueprints and schematics to troubleshoot and maintain preexisting HVAC units. Responsibilities + Regularly inspect and test HVAC systems to ensure they are functioning properly. + Identify and troubleshoot any malfunctions in HVAC systems. + Repair or replace faulty parts in HVAC systems. + Perform regular preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance. + Ensure HVAC systems are energy efficient and comply with safety and environmental standards. Essential Skills + 3-5 years of experience in HVAC service, either commercial or residential. + OSHA 10 Certification. + EPA Certification. + Proficient in repair, service, electrical, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance. + Experience with boilers. + Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in HVAC servicing and troubleshooting. + Preventative maintenance expertise. Why Work Here? Technicians will drive to job sites within 30 miles of the headquarters in Rochester, NY. Projects vary in size, and standard working hours are from 7 AM to 3:30 PM with a half-hour lunch. The role involves using ladders, cranes, various lifts, refrigerants, trade tools, and testing equipment. Service technicians will be on call for 24 hours for one week (Monday through Sunday) every 5 to 6 weeks, with a $100 bonus for each on-call week. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Rochester, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr.
