Leidosu2019 Defense Systems u2013 Platform Integration Facility is seeking a Quality Inspector to join our growing team. In this role, youu2019ll ensure electro-mechanical parts and assembled hardware meet strict quality standards in accordance with drawings, specifications, and procedures. You'll also play a key part in supporting documentation, troubleshooting, and non-conformance trackingu2014directly impacting the performance and reliability of mission-critical defense systems. This is a fast-paced environment where attention to detail, self-direction, and teamwork are essential. Primary Responsibilities + Inspect piece parts, components, and electro-mechanical assemblies (e.g., cable assemblies, structural hardware). + Read and interpret engineering drawings, test plans, and assembly instructions . + Perform material verification and inspections, generating inspection reports and documentation. + Identify and document non-conformances and assist in initiating root cause analysis. + Use standard measurement equipment (micrometers, calipers, multimeters, etc.) for inspection and calibration. + Support acceptance testing and generate test documentation . + Assist with receiving inspection , documentation control, and calibration processes. Basic Qualifications + High School Diploma/GED required. + 5+ years of experience in a quality control environment under ISO9001/AS9100 or in DoD, Aerospace, or Automotive manufacturing. + Proficient with standard inspection tools: micrometers, calipers, multimeters , etc. + Able to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications . + Experience generating inspection documentation (inspection reports, bubble prints, Certificates of Conformance, NCRs). + Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) . + Strong communication and collaboration skills within multi-disciplinary teams. + U.S. Citizenship required. + Must currently hold or be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance . Preferred Qualifications + Experience inspecting complex aerospace hardware and supporting Material Review Board (MRB) processes. + Familiarity with AS9102 First Article Inspection and Acceptance Data Pack review/creation. + Knowledge of AS5553 counterfeit prevention practices. + Experience in handling non-conforming materials and writing/processing NCRs. + Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs .
