Airframe Assembler II- 1st Shift

Eatonu2019s IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a Airframe Assembler II- 1st Shift. The hourly rate for this position is $22.50 per hour. The hours for this shift are 5:30 am - 2:00 pm. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. What youu2019ll do: The Fuel and Motion Control Systems Division of Eatonu2019s Aerospace Group, has an opening for an Airframe Assembler II based in Irvine, CA. Essential Functions: u2022 Assemble parts or units, and position, align, and fasten units to assemblies, subassemblies, or frames using hand tools and power tools u2022 May disassemble and assemble product that is returned for repair u2022 Utilize hand tools such as pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, arbor press, vises, soldering iron, micrometers, calipers and indicators u2022 Use routing sheets, operating instruction sheets or other documentation to ensure proper assembly of parts. Perform visual inspection of units during the assembly process and at completion of assembled units. u2022 May perform verification as an operator/inspector for others in the department u2022 Inspect, test, and adjust completed units to ensure that units meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements u2022 Determine tooling and special gauging required to complete work u2022 Comply with all safety requirements, including proper use of personal protective equipment and operation of equipment in a safe and competent manner. Understand and meet all departmental safety objectives and goals. Keep assigned work-area clean, organized, and orderly per 5S standards. u2022 Perform other related duties as assigned Qualifications: Required (Basic) Qualifications: u2022 High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution u2022 Minimum of 2 year previous work experience in mechanical assembly u2022 This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
