OE Development Engineer - Akron / Canton, Ohio - JOB 26-00093Salary Range: $100K - $125K+ Permanent Position with BenefitsSeeking someone who has designed tires for Michelin.A Growing International Tire Company located in the Greater Akron / Canton, Ohio area is looking to hire an experienced OE Tire Development Engineer who can design tire molds utilizing Cadis CAD and / or AutoCAD software for passenger cars and trucks. Must have previous Michelin experience.Candidate shall support the engineering efforts of the Tire Design and Tire Testing Team to develop prototype tires from concept to the production phase. Candidate will determine the tire design parameters based on required performance to include tire force properties.Responsibilities:u2022 Participate in new product design activities from initial concept through prototype manufacturing, and release for mass productionu2022 Determine specific tire design parameters based on required tire performance using general knowledge of tire force properties, tire and vehicle dynamics, and tire uniformity and handling characteristicsu2022 Provide input relating to such design features as tread pattern, mold contour and sizing, venting, rubber to void ratios, pattern noise, sidewall treatments and stampingsu2022 Relate desired tire characteristics to construction configurations and materials to optimize performance and qualityu2022 Develop product enhancements to raise the performance and quality level of existing items and/or reduce costQualifications:u2022 Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or related engineering fieldu2022 Preferred greater than 5 years of experience in OE tire development.u2022 Relevant full-time experience in tire or automotive industryu2022 Experience with Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems and Microsoft 365 or similar office document toolsu2022 Excellent communication skills and ability to work in local and international teamsNote: Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position.Candidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.Only U.S. Citizens or persons with a Green Card work permit may apply.Due to the large amount of resumes we expect to receive only the most qualified candidates will be contacted.
