Job Description

The Electrical Engineer I is responsible for completing design efficiently using industry and organizational standards. They work with project leaders to complete conceptual designs, detailed designs, and associated documentation. An Electrical Engineer I executes simple design concepts independently and completes site visits with others.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Secondary Responsibilities:Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Education and/or Experience: A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a closely related field from a four-year ABET-accredited program is required. This is an entry-level position, and while 0-3 years of experience is preferred, a combination of relevant education and practical experience, including internships or co-op positions, will also be considered. Candidates must have knowledge of electrical terminology and components, electrical symbols, and the National Electric Code (NEC). Proficiency in drafting software is preferred. EIT (Engineer in Training) certification or a willingness to obtain it is a plus.Travel Requirements: Travel will be required and will vary according to business requirements. Travel should not exceed 25% of your timeAccommodations: Reasonable accommodations will be made for qualified individuals with pensation: The pay range for this position is $70,000 to $88,000+ benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by the experience and education required, and level of responsibility. The range posted for this role represents a range that Interstates, in good faith, believes it is willing to pay at the time of this posting.
