Duties & Responsibilities: (Essential Functions of Position, Major Responsibilities, Summary of Key Duties, Special Assignments, Relationships) + Collaborate with Instructional Leadership Directors and the Director of Equity and Learning Supports to develop and support an overall district vision for a district-wide integrated instructional program for grades Pre-K-12th. + Establish a team, define roles and responsibilities, and representation. + Establish district-wide priorities and goals, align resources to priorities, monitor and coordinate district-wide instructional programming and prioritize and participate in educator learning; + Focus on the leadership team acquiring and applying complex knowledge, and solving complex problems; and + Develop action plans, using data-based decision-making to improve the plan, implement with fidelity, and monitor/evaluate implementation. + Ensure that addressing disproportionality issues is embedded into the district's accountability structure. + Lead and support the implementation of a multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) across the school district. + Collaborate with Instructional Leadership Directors on the identification of needs within regions and across the district and target resources to those identified needs. + Collaborate with peers on the utilization of the Continuous Improvement Model to strategically gather data, analyze, set priorities, implement improvement, and be held accountable for the results. + Coordinate cross-content integrated opportunities for an instructional program that deeply aligns with Iowa's Academic Standards and Social-Emotional Learning Competencies, that may include oral language, fluency, reading, writing, math, science, social studies, STEAM, social-emotional development, and instructional technology. + Evaluate the effectiveness of instructional methods and programs and recommend revisions and improvements as needed. + Coordinate curriculum and assessment development, implementation, and revision. + Revise pacing guides, curriculum guides, instructional strategies, and assessments in collaboration with specialists, teachers, and administrators. + Provide guidance in the selection of instructional resources, new textbooks, materials, and equipment. + Work with school administrators and teachers in organizing and coordinating grade level and departmental meetings in order to ensure horizontal and vertical continuity and articulation of the instructional program throughout the region. + Guide administrators and teachers in the improvement of instructional delivery and performance through a systematic approach to coaching, feedback, and job-embedded professional development. + Assist in developing and conducting district-wide professional development for instructional staff. + Assist in preparing and monitoring the budget of the instructional program. + Assist in developing and implementing a strategic vision for the use of technology in the district in both the academic and infrastructure systems. + Facilitate the integration of digital tools, network security, and best practices into technology operation and administrative systems. + Champion changes in curriculum design and delivery in conjunction with administrators. + Establish standard procedures for evaluation, use, and support of technology, including hardware, operating software, and applications. + Evaluate the performance of technology department employees and oversee training and support. + Oversee the delegated responsibility of district-based programs and applications. + Provide leadership in the purchase and acquisition of new technology and equipment. + Consult with appropriate stakeholders to coordinate, evaluate, recommend, and purchase new technology and equipment. + Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: (Personal Qualities, Education, Skills Needed, Experience, Etc.) + Master's degree in School Administration or Curriculum & Instruction + Minimum of five (5) years of elementary and/or secondary teaching experience. + Minimum of five (5) years of administrative experience.
