Lockheed Martin Space is searching for an innovative and experienced Systems Architect to support the team that designs, develops, fields and operates space sensing and missile systems for a variety of national security mission partners. This a key role in the successful execution of activities of major significance to support the national security enterprise. In this role, you will: u2022 Support the National Security mission areas with long-term planning, technology insertion, and architecture decisions u2022 Support the development and communication of the missile and space sensing architectural futures u2022 Ensure assessment and conversion of mission needs/requirements into total mission systems solutions that account for the design and technology maturity constraints of the system u2022 Develop innovative next gen mission systems and system element architecture, design, and interface definitions u2022 Continuously translate architecture analysis into action plans and product development roadmaps u2022 Support the development and management of overall budgets, schedules, and performance standards u2022 Work with Enterprise Centers of Excellence, Supply Chain, and LOB leadership to translate mission and product roadmaps into technology investment and industry partnership decisions u2022 Support internal and external mission system design reviews u2022 Develop multi-domain solutions to the sensing and missile missions and work seamlessly to support both Line of Business and Business Development efforts u2022 Seek and foster knowledge of current and developing technologies, design, and analysis methodologies u2022 Develop models and architectural guidelines for current and future mission system development efforts u2022 Work with Business Development and Government Affairs to coordinate with the customer environment, requirements and architectures u2022 Build successful teams with internal stakeholders, (Business Development and central Engineering), as well as with external stakeholders (suppliers, mission partners and USG laboratories.) u2022 Clearance needed so US citizenship required. Basic Qualifications: u2022 Experience performing in a Systems Architect role on a space development program u2022 Experience in the design or analysis of RF communication, sensing, or missile systems u2022 Familiarity with design tools and environments for communications, sensing and missile systems u2022 Familiarity with MBSE concepts u2022 Ability and willingness to obtain LM Systems Architect certification within 12 months of starting in this role Desired Skills: u2022 Active TS/SCI access u2022 Experience performing in a Systems Architect role on a large and complex DoD/IC space hardware development efforts u2022 Experience with missile and space-based sensing systems u2022 Experience applying MBSE concepts in a Systems Engineer or Systems Architect role u2022 Current LM Systems Architect certification, at the Qualified level or higher u2022 Prior SAP access Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $139,600 - $246,100. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidateu2019s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
