Description Our client is seeking an Interim Tax Manager for a 2 month project. The Tax Manager will prepare, direct and manage multiple tax projects in order to provide quality tax services and deliverables for our clients. In addition to supervising and mentoring staff and senior management, this position will be responsible for maintaining principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely internal and external reporting. This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of tax reporting activities. Responsibilities u2022 Oversee and perform as necessary tax compliance activities, including: u2022 Prepare and Review Federal and State income tax returns u2022 Tax planning and projections u2022 Tax research, resolution and correspondence u2022 Manage client information requests and deliverables u2022 Assist staff with technical questions and development u2022 Ensure accurate, timely filing of federal, state, and local tax returns u2022 Assist in complex client tax planning and modeling u2022 Manage client deliverables and time frames u2022 Manage and mentor members of tax team to greater levels of effectiveness and engagement u2022 Assist in new client onboarding u2022 Find and implement opportunities for process improvement in tax procedures u2022 Provide support on special tax projects and initiatives Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting u2022 10+ years of relevant work experience in public accounting u2022 Previous supervisory experience with proven track record as a leader u2022 Certified Public Accountant u2022 Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles u2022 Knowledge of federal and state tax regulations u2022 Flexible in dealing with change with ability to manage multiple priorities and projects, and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment u2022 Tax technical experience in individuals, partnerships, and corporations u2022 Strong communication and project management abilities Robert Half is the worldu2019s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
