Operate x-ray equipment, develop film, prepare patient's room, equipment,suppliesand medications. Cleans and disinfects x-ray room and equipment.Prepare barium preparation and other chemical mixture for x-rays.Prepare patient for x-rays, explains procedures, transfers patient to table, position patient, andassistspatient at end of procedure.Follow prescribed techniques in administrating general and specific x-rays. Adjusts equipment,determinesproper voltage, current, and desired exposure time. Arranges immobilization and support devices to obtain position of patient and adjusts the lead shield and selects properfilms.Radiographs all incoming patients.Observes patient and machine during procedures and reports unusual occurrences and records patient’s condition.Routinelymaintainsstock supplies and performs general office duties such asdraftingreports.Assistschief technologist inmaintainingradiographic technique charts.TransportpatientsFollow infection control guidelines applicable to the section.Efficiently takes mobile x-ray unit to patient’s room or emergency room.Qualifications:Associatedegree in Radiology.Maryland State License. ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technology)Registered. This position has a hiring range of : USD $29.73 - USD $53.49 /Yr.
