Job Description

Amazon's Global Procurement Organization (GPO) is seeking a Procurement Specialist to support procurement operations and strategic initiatives across our enterprise. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to high-impact procurement projects while developing expertise in procurement operations and process improvement.The Procurement Specialist will support strategic procurement initiatives, execute cross-functional projects, and contribute to operational excellence across GPO. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, procurement operations knowledge, and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the organization.Key job responsibilities•Execute procurement projects and initiatives that support organizational objectives• Contribute to process improvement initiatives through data analysis and innovative solutions• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to support procurement outcomes• Assist in creating and maintaining documentation, standard operating procedures, and governance frameworks• Analyze procurement data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement• Participate in cross-functional teams to deliver business improvements• Develop metrics and reporting to track performance and support continuous improvement• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, processes, and internal controlsBASIC QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor's degree- 3+ years of supply chain operations experience- Experience understanding process flow and suggest improvements to deliver cost savings, inventory reduction, or other benefits to the site- Experience with analytical tools and ability to dive deep into metrics and reporting- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and MS Project) at an advanced level- Experience building strategic relationships with stakeholders, including communicating and collaborating across teams and functionsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- 5+ years of relevant strategic sourcing and category management in indirect categories such as professional services, support or maintenance spend, supply chain, forecasting, manufacturing, sourcing/procurement, or vendor management experience- Experience using lean process improvement, six sigma methodologies, or related performance metrics/process improvements to increase efficiency within processes, forecasting, planning, optimization, or logistics- Experience working with technology teams and solving operational issues using technology- Experience effectively communicating complex concepts through written and verbal communication- Experience working in a fast-paced environment similar to a high-tech start-upAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
