Job DescriptionThe Premium & Catering Intern will support the Premium, Catering, and Hospitality teams at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, assisting with the coordination and execution of premium dining experiences during races, special events, and large-scale activations.This internship provides hands-on exposure to premium service operations, event execution, and behind-the-scenes planning in a high-volume, live-event environment. Interns will work alongside managers and supervisors to support daily operations, guest service, and administrative tasks related to premium and catered events.Job Responsibilities Produce and maintain work schedules and may prepare production records.Direct daily activities.Maintains food production that ensures the safety and quality of food according to policies, procedures, and department requirements.Ensure that food items are stored in a safe, organized, and hazard-free environment.Maintain all serving schedules; ensure that all food items are served per menu specifications in a safe and appropriate manner according to departmental policies and procedures.Maintain a sanitary department following health and safety codes and regulations.Maintain accurate inventory on a weekly basis according to departmental policies and procedures.May prepare orders as needed per vendor to ensure accurate production for location.Must be knowledgeable in operating an efficient cost effective program.Supervise and evaluate employees; counsel; promote employee growth, efficiency, morale, and teamwork.At Aramark, developing new skills and doing what it takes to get the job done make a positive impact for our employees and for our customers. In order to meet our commitments, job duties may change or new ones may be assigned without formal notice.Qualifications This position is intended for students pursuing degrees in hospitality, event management, business, or related fieldsInterest in premium service, catering, and live-event hospitality operationsMust read, write, and understand verbal instructionsMaintain emotional control under stressAbility to resolve interpersonal situationsStrong organizational skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentStrong communication and organizational skillsAbility to follow verbal and written instructionsWillingness to adjust schedules during peak event periodsMinimum Education/Certification - High School Diploma/GEDThis role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing.
