If you want to join a company invested in you, your success and the global community, join us as a CEI Senior Inspector.We are searching for an experienced Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) - Inspector Aide to join our team in Lagrange and Macon surrounding area. In this role, you will be responsible developing/maintaining relationships with GDOT, and other transportation agencies involved in winning contracts for CEI services in general in Lagrange and Macon.This is entry level inspector work supporting higher level inspectors and engineers on assignments relating to highway and bridge construction inspection. Work is generally performed under technical and administrative supervision and may include other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Employee will perform a range of routine and standardized work including, but not limited to, manual and/or electronic calculations, computations, and inspections of construction processes and materials to assure compliance with the construction contract. Employee will inspect truck load tickets for roadway aggregate base course; borrow material and asphaltic concrete at project field sites. Employee will perform a variety of simple materials sampling, inspection and/or testing. Employee will perform contract administrative duties, which may include field measurements of pay item quantities, project close-out, as well as other Department required documentation.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Some knowledge of surveying, highway construction or design. General knowledge of mathematical functions. Skill in the use of office equipment such as calculators. Ability to read and interpret such things as construction plans, contract provisions, and inspection procedures, and good communications ability. Shall be licensed to operate motor vehicles in accordance with Georgia Law. Here's what you'll need Minimum Training and Experience Requirements: High School Diploma or GED. Skill in use of computers (i.e., Microsoft Office, e-mail, internet). Preferred: Knowledge of surveying, highway construction, or design. One (1) year transportation experience; or equivalent combination of training and directly related experienceRequired•Must be able to Pass GDOT Group 1 and 2 CEIT Test in 1 year•Must have Valid Ga Driver License•Obtain Level 1 A and GDOT Worksite Erosion Control Supervisor ceritifaction in 6 months Posted Salary Range: Minimum 47,840.00 Posted Salary Range: Upper 52,000.00 Our health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about.
