Employment Type:Full timeShift:Rotating ShiftDescription:Position Purpose:The PACU at Mount Carmel East has 15baysand recoversallsurgical patientsfrom the main Operating Room.The PACU RNwill work closely with Surgeons andAnesthesia,and itis considered acritical caredepartment.The nurse-to-patient ratio is 2:1. The shifts areMonday throughFriday,312-hourshifts(9000-2130)with weekend and nighton-call.The Registered Nurse RN, within the scope of the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, will provide care in an atmosphere sensitive to each person’s physical, emotional,socialand spiritual needs.The Registered Nurse RN,collaborates in the spirit ofteamworkis accountable for the delivery of patient careutilizingthe Nursing Process within the standards, policies,proceduresand guidelines of the Organization.Whatyou willdo:Provides nursing care, ensures an environment of patient safety, promotes evidence-based practice and qualityinitiativesandexhibitsprofessionalism in nursing practice within the model of the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program?.Assesses and evaluates patient care for an assigned group of patients, utilizingevidence basedpractice. Collaborates withpatientand family to develop and implement a plan of care that includes physical,spiritualand educational components.Accurately communicates pertinent information toappropriate teammembersin a timely manner.
