Amazon's Legal Department is looking for a talented export controls lawyer to support Amazon Web Services (AWS). AWS is at the forefront of the cloud computing and service industry providing IT infrastructure services such as on-demand compute capacity, storage, content delivery, database services, artificial intelligence and machine learning, and more.We are seeking an export controls attorney to join our international trade legal team.Key job responsibilities- Provide counsel on export laws and new technology such as AI, quantum, and semiconductors; - Support regulatory engagements; - Collaborate globally to develop innovative international trade compliance solutions; and - Research and stay up to date on forthcoming export control laws and enforcement trends. A day in the lifeThe role involves working directly with business units and cross-functional teams across AWS and other parts of Amazon. The successful candidate will provide strategic input on legal and business decisions, navigate complex regulatory environments, and develop problem solving solutions. This position plays a crucial role in supporting AWS globally and requires a talented and motivated individual capable of managing a broad range of matters, in a rapidly evolving business landscape.About the teamThis role will give the successful candidate an opportunity to join a collaborative, tight-knit team that is leading exciting and pioneering global initiatives as part of a business that is making history.
