Apply Engineer In Training I - Civil Lakewood, CO • Civil Apply Job Type Full-time Description Martin/Martin, Inc. is looking for a civil engineer to join our Civil Engineering Group in our Lakewood, Colorado office. This engineer will work for multiple project managers on a broad range of project types. The position would offer the opportunity to work on varied types of projects, including municipal, utility healthcare, affordable housing, educational facilities, housing developments, and much more.About Martin/MartinMartin/Martin, Inc. is a full-service civil and structural consulting engineering firm, headquartered in the Denver area, built on experience and industry leadership cultivated since the 1940s. Our structural engineers develop customized structural systems to meet design requirements for new facilities and expansions. Our civil teams focus on site and infrastructure design including traffic/transportation, parking, street layout/lighting, water and wastewater utilities, stormwater drainage, circulation, paving, surveying, security issues, and other site considerations. Our investigative engineers can provide support for existing projects, both buildings and sites, to design and implement repairs, renovations, or improvements. With nine office locations and a staff of more than 370, Martin/Martin engineers regularly perform work throughout Colorado, across the United States, and internationally.A typical workweek can include engineering calculations, drawing development, and site visits. This position allows for interactions with owners, architects, and contractors early in your career, along with opportunities for marketing activities. Projects are typically in the Rocky Mountain Region.Examples Of Responsibilities:Work under the supervision of a licensed engineer to accomplish structural/civil design calculations and tasks.Produce high-quality project documentation using computer design and graphics software programs.Actively participate in personal professional development through learning code requirements, asking lots of questions, completing reference research, and attending technical training seminars.Assist Project Manager in construction administration tasks such as shop drawing review, performing field observations, and responding to Requests for Information.Collaboratively engage with other Martin/Martin staff to provide exceptional engineering solutions for our clients.WORKING CONDITIONS/SKILLS/ABILITIESThis position is primarily physical in nature and is continually exposed to outside weather, completing a wide range of activities summarized herein.
