A school social worker position is available at a middle school in Castle Rock, CO, for the current school year on a contract basis. This role is integral in supporting students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs, collaborating with educators, families, and support staff to foster a positive learning environment.Key Responsibilities:Provide individual and group counseling to students addressing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.Develop and implement intervention plans tailored to students needs.Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student well-being.Connect students and families to community resources and services.Conduct assessments to identify student needs and monitor progress.Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to individualized education plans (IEPs).Desired Qualifications:Masters degree in Social Work or related field.Valid state licensure or certification as a school social worker.Experience working in a school setting, preferably at the middle school level.Strong assessment and counseling skills with knowledge of child and adolescent development.Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Location: Castle Rock, ColoradoPosition Type: Contract, Current School YearThis opportunity offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on student success by addressing critical social and emotional needs within a supportive school environment.
