Position Summary:Our Non-Public Special Education School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-Time Paraprofessional to join our team in Fall 2025. This position supports our students in a student-centered, emotionally responsive learning environment that fosters growth in academic skills, emotional regulation, and independence. The ideal candidate will demonstrate patience, flexibility, and a strong commitment to supporting students with unique learning needs.Pay Range: $25.00-$30.00 per hour USDKey Responsibilities Include:• Provide academic and behavioral support to students in one-to-one and small group settings under the direction of a certified teacher.• Support the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs).• Assist in the preparation and adaptation of instructional materials.• Promote student engagement, emotional security, and positive peer interactions.• Model appropriate behavior and mentor students throughout the school day.• Communicate regularly with the classroom teacher and other team members to monitor student progress.• Assist with classroom organization, transitions, and supervision.• Participate in professional development and staff meetings.• Other duties as assigned.Qualifications Required: Current Illinois Paraprofessional License Associate's degree; Bachelor's Degree preferred. Paraprofessional approval through the Illinois State Board of Education. Experience working with students with learning differences or emotional challenges preferred.
