This opportunity is ideal for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) holding an active Illinois Professional Educator License with Speech Endorsement and a current Speech License. The role is a contracted position for the current school year, based in multiple locations within Illinois, including Villa Park, Addison, Westmont, and Downers Grove. The SLP will provide specialized services to students in K-12 settings across self-contained classrooms focused on supporting children with Autism and Intellectual Disabilities in Structured Learning Environments (SLE).Key Responsibilities:Deliver speech-language therapy services to students in 3-4 self-contained classrooms per assignment.Work closely with education teams in classrooms that serve approximately 6-8 students each.Tailor communication and intervention strategies to meet the diverse needs of children with Autism and Intellectual Disabilities.Collaborate with special education staff across multiple school sites to support individualized education plans (IEPs).Maintain accurate and timely documentation regarding student progress and services provided.Desired Qualifications:Active Illinois Professional Educator License with Speech Endorsement.Valid Illinois Speech License.Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred but not required; candidates in their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) are welcome to apply.Experience working in school-based settings, preferably within special education or autism support programs.Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.Locations: Multiple sites including high schools and elementary schools in the greater Naperville, IL area.Benefits:Full-time hours (35-37.5 per week) supporting a meaningful population.Opportunity to impact students with special needs within a specialized cooperative (CO-OP) serving 18 school districts.Supportive professional environment focused on evidence-based practices in speech therapy.Candidates interested in this contracted SLP role should prepare a concise, bullet-pointed resume highlighting relevant expertise and licensure credentials.
