Coder Sr. Account Manager

Position Information: The Coder Sr. Account Manager serves as the senior member of the Corporate Coding Team by reviewing denials and appeals for coding related issues. Reviews daily Epic work queues and reports status of inpatient and outpatient accounts trending data and predicting fluctuations in A/R for both inpatient and outpatient accounts. Knowledgeable of the revenue cycle CMS guidelines managed care contracts and LCDs. Performs the function of coding DRG assignment collection of predefined indicators and abstracting medical records. Reviews SMART accounts on a daily basis as assigned. Experience Requirements: 5 Years Coding - Inpatient Or 5 Years Clinical - Related Area And Diagnosis-Related Group Analysis Required Select Education Type: Bachelor's Degree Health Information Management Or Associate's Degree Health Information Management Or Associate's Degree Nursing Or Bachelor's Degree Nursing With Equivalent Experience Or Related Certification Required Licensure/Certification Requirements: Registered Health Information Administrator Or Registered Nurse Or Registered Health Information Technician And/Or Certified Coding Specialist Required Hours of Work: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm Weekend Requirements: As Needed Call Requirements: None
