This includes recruitment, training, coordination, supervision, and ongoing support of volunteers across all hospice service areas. You will serve as a key liaison between volunteers, patients, families, and the interdisciplinary group (IDG).Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, coordinate, and supervise delivery of all volunteer servicesRecruit, interview, select, orient, and train hospice volunteersMatch volunteers to assignments based on program needs, interests, and skillsMaintain accurate records of volunteer services and hoursMonitor, evaluate, and support volunteer performanceEnsure volunteer compliance with hospice policies and proceduresPlan and facilitate volunteer meetings and support activitiesPromote community awareness and engagement with the hospice volunteer programPrepare reports and updates as requested by leadershipMaintain compliance with hospice standards, infection control policies, and regulationsQualificationsHigh school diploma requiredMinimum 2 years of experience in a related field (volunteer coordination preferred)Previous volunteer experience strongly preferredAbility to work independently and make sound judgmentsStrong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skillsCompassionate, adaptable, and culturally sensitiveEmotionally resilient and comfortable working in a hospice environmentAdditional RequirementsValid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insuranceAbility to meet physical and mental demands of the roleCompletion of hospice training programCompliance with TB testing and other state-required screenings Our CommitmentWe are committed to creating a respectful, inclusive, and supportive workplace.
