ERG is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Technician to support the inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems at client facilities. This role is critical to ensuring life safety, regulatory compliance, and system reliability across assigned sites. This full-time position is at the Naval Support Facility (NSF) Indian Head. Indian Head, Maryland, is approximately 30 miles from Washington, D.C.; 25 miles from Alexandria, Virginia; and 60 miles from Fredericksburg, Virginia. Job Description:Inspect, test, maintain, and repair fire sprinkler systems in accordance with NFPA standards, applicable codes, and client requirementsPerform routine and corrective maintenance on wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge sprinkler systemsIdentify deficiencies, troubleshoot system issues, and recommend corrective actionsAccurately document inspection results, deficiencies, and completed workCoordinate with project managers, site personnel, and inspectors as neededMaintain tools, equipment, and inventory to ensure they are in safe working conditionComply with all safety policies, procedures, and site-specific requirementsThis position will require a pre-employment physical examThis position requires lifting objects weighing up to 50 poundsWork may be performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g., fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals)You may be required to participate in medical surveillance programsRequired Qualifications and Skills:High school diploma or equivalent years of experienceNICET Level I certification2+ years of experience inspecting, installing, or maintaining fire sprinkler systemsAbility to safely install or modify various types of sprinkler piping apparatus such as copper, black iron and galvanized steel Knowledge of applicable NFPA codes (e.g., NFPA 13, 25)Ability to read and interpret system drawings, plans, and technical documentationStrong attention to detail and commitment to safety and qualityMust be able to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shiftsMust be able to use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move itemsMust be able to go up and down stairs, where applicableMust currently hold or be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret-level security clearanceMust be a U.S. citizen, as this position is not eligible for Limited Access Authorizations Preferred Qualifications and Skills:NICET Level II and III certificationsState or local fire sprinkler technician licenseExperience working in industrial, federal, or secured facilities Navy or Department of Defense experience is strongly preferred ERG offers competitive salaries and excellent benefits, including health and dental insurance, life insurance, long-term disability, educational benefits, FSAs, a generous 401k plan, profit sharing, an EAP, 11-20 paid vacation days per year, 10 paid holidays per year, 56 hours or more of sick leave (based on the state you work in) per year (pro-rated for part-time) and more.
