Design Engineer (PE) - Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings (PEMB) A respected and growing Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) erector and fabricator is seeking an experienced Design Engineer (PE) to support ongoing and upcoming projects. This role is ideal for a licensed professional engineer who excels in structural design, coordination, and delivering efficient PEMB solutions for commercial and industrial projects.As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for engineering design, calculations, and coordination with detailing, fabrication, and erection teams to ensure projects meet code requirements, performance standards, and customer expectations.Key Responsibilities Design and engineer PEMB systems in accordance with applicable codes and standards Prepare structural calculations, design packages, and engineering documentation Review drawings, specifications, and project requirements Coordinate with detailing, fabrication, and erection teams Provide engineering support during fabrication and field erection Review and respond to RFIs and design-related issues Ensure compliance with local building codes and industry standards Support project teams from design through construction Qualifications Professional Engineer (PE) license required Experience in structural engineering, preferably with PEMB systems Strong understanding of steel design, loads, and building codes Ability to read and interpret construction documents Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Preferred Experience working with a PEMB fabricator or erector Familiarity with MBMA standards and PEMB design software Experience supporting fabrication and erection operations Compensation & Benefits Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 (DOE) Competitive benefits package Long-term growth opportunity with a stable, expanding PEMB contractor If you are a licensed engineer seeking a high-impact role designing metal building systems from concept through construction, we’d like to hear from you.Send your resume to: justin.knittgogpacAll qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, age, color, sex (including pregnancy), religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, military status, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable laws or regulations.
