Staff Accountant - Fixed Assets

Job Description :Responsibilities / Duties: Lead and support month-end close activities, ensuring all fixed asset-related financial reporting deadlines are met with accuracy and complianceProcess asset capitalization, depreciation, transfers, impairments, and disposals in accordance with ASC 360Maintain fixed asset subledgers in Oracle and SAPSchedule CIP review with project managers on a quarterly basisCollaborate with project managers, finance and operations to ensure capital projects are accurately tracked, properly classified, and in good financial standingPrepare journal entries and reconciliations related to fixed assetsMonitor capital project activity and ensure proper accounting treatmentEnsure adherence to internal controls, SOX requirements, and audit protocolsPrepare audit schedules and support internal and external audit requestsMaintain documentation for asset policies and proceduresCollaborate with IT to implement system enhancements and automation initiativesLead process improvement initiatives to gain efficienciesAssist with special projects and create ad-hoc reports and analysis if necessaryJob Requirements:Education and/or Experience 1+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in fixed assets or general ledger.Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalentMust reside within a commutable distance to Brea, CA.
