This role focuses on expanding relationships and contract opportunities with agencies such asUSACE,USGS, USFS, NOAA, FEMA,USBR,and related State andregional stakeholders, while intentionallycross-selling complementary servicesincludingCivil, Transportation, and Buildings.This position collaborates closely with technical leaders, market leaders, and business development teams to position the firm as a trusted partner for integrated, multi-discipline solutions supporting resilience, infrastructure, environmental monitoring, and emergency response programs.#LI-onsiteRemote Sensing & Government Business DevelopmentLead and manage business development initiatives for remote sensing and geospatial services targeting Federal, State, and local government agencies, includingUSGS, USFS, NOAA, FEMA, and aligned State andregionalentitiesEstablish andutilizerelationships with key federal prime contractors tomaintainexperience and positioning for long-term federal IDIQ contract targetsIdentify, pursue, and capture opportunities related to airborne and terrestrial LiDAR, imagery, elevation data, change detection, analytics,hydrography, bathymetry,GISand derived geospatial products.Support proposal development efforts, including capture planning,pre-positioning,teaming strategies, technical positioning, and client engagement.Monitor agency priorities, funding mechanisms, and regulatory trends influencing remote sensing, mapping, resilience, and disaster responseprograms.Identifyandengage the industry atconferences(such as NSGIC)and committee meetings that align with the business development goals.Strategic Positioning & Program DevelopmentDevelopmarket and regional researchand implement strategic plans for national, regional, and statewide remote sensing and mapping initiatives.Position the firm for participation in long-term and multi-award contracts (IDIQs, BPAs, MATOCs) supporting Federal and State geospatial programs.Identifykey teaming partners, subcontractors, and technology providers to strengthen competitiveness and delivery capabilities.Work with technical leaders to prioritize research and development activities that differentiate the firm or provide relevant strategic solutionsWork with government clients toidentifyopportunities forFederal-State-local collaborationand integrated program delivery.Identifyand engage strategic partners or firmsleveragingunique solutions toassistin M&A activity and the establishment of formal partnerships such as joint ventures, consortiums, and mentor-protégé relationshipsFacilitate the marketing and external communication of emerging service lines such as GIS analytics, hydrographic mapping, bathymetricsurveyand utility analyticsFocus on specific regional growth thataligninWGI’s business plan to include but not limited to North Carolina, Alabama, Tennessee, Indiana, Colorado,Arizonaand California.Cross-Selling & Integrated SolutionsCollaborate with Civil, Transportation, and Buildings leadership toidentifyand pursue cross-disciplinary opportunities where remote sensing enables planning, design, asset management, and resilience outcomes.Promote integrated service offerings that combine remote sensing with engineering, environmental, and infrastructure solutions.Support joint pursuits thatleverageremote sensing data to enhance value for transportation corridors, vertical assets, utilities, flood risk management, and emergencyresponse.ClientEngagement & Relationship ManagementBuild andmaintainstrong relationships with key decision-makers, technical leads, and contracting officers across Federal, State, and local agencies.Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by aligning technical capabilities with missionobjectivesand long-term program goals.Debrief internal teams on client engagement activities andidentifyactionable opportunities for growth and improvement.Internal Collaboration & Team DevelopmentCollaborate with Strategic Growth Leaders, Market Leaders, and technical experts to develop and implement growth strategies across geographies and disciplines.Support mentoring and development of junior staff related to government contracting, capture management, and client engagementtoassistin their development and self-sustaining establishment in specific markets and regions.Identifykey hires and recruitment targets to strengthen remote sensing and geospatial capabilities in support of government programs.Promote a culture of innovation, quality, and continuous improvement within the remote sensing and geospatial teams.Participate in and contribute to WGI’s corporate federal business development team and support WGI’s Chief Strategy Officer on corporate-level growth initiatives.Industry Leadership & VisibilityRepresent the firm through networking, conference participation, and involvement in professional organizations related to remote sensing, geospatial science, and government markets.Track and communicate emerging technologies, data standards, and best practices relevant to government remote sensing programs.Support thought leadership and market visibility efforts that position the firm as a leader in applied remote sensing solutions.Reporting & AccountabilityReport on progress, challenges, and achievements related to client development, strategic positioning, and cross-selling efforts to firm leadership.Maintain accountability for growth targets,pursuitpipelines, and client satisfaction.Other ExpectationsTravel asrequiredto support client engagement, conferences, and internal collaboration.Close coordination with Federal and State business development teams to align pursuit strategies and resource planning.Flexibility to support embedded or advisory roles with key clients, whenappropriate, to strengthen strategic partnerships.Bachelor's Degree10 or more years of experience related to the fieldPostgraduate technical education and/or an MS within geodesy, photogrammetry, remote sensing, or the earth sciences preferred.Specific interest and experience in survey technology, LiDAR scanning systems, aerial and terrestrial photogrammetry, remote sensing systems, Sub-Surface Utility (SUE) investigations equipment and data, 3D models, augmented reality visualizations, sonar scanning for bathymetry, and other continually emerging geospatial solutions10 or more years of experience related to the field(s) aboveExperience managing projects and submitting competitive proposals within the assigned market(s)Professional Engineer (PE) license, RPLS, PLS, PSM license desired, ASPRS (Certified Photogrammetrist, Mapping Scientist, Remote Sensing or Technologist), GIS Professional or other professional certification preferred.Applicants must be currently
