Job Description

Our client, a leading health plan, is seeking an experienced Manager, Reporting & Analytics to lead a high-performing analytics team supporting both Maryland and Washington, DC operations. This role is responsible for overseeing the development, delivery, and quality of enterprise reporting and analytics that inform operational, financial, quality, and clinical decision-making across the organization.This position reports to the Director of Data & Analytics and manages a team of approximately seven (7) analysts. The ideal candidate is a strong people leader who can translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and drive continuous improvement across reporting and analytics functions.Work Location & RequirementsFully remote, with candidates required to reside on the East Coast (EST time zone)Travel onsite 1-2 times per quarter as neededU.S. Citizenship or Green Card requiredComprehensive background check required (employment, education, drug screening)Proof of flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)Lead, mentor, and manage a team of analytics professionals, setting performance expectations and supporting career developmentOversee the development and delivery of high-quality reports, dashboards, and analytical models for internal and external stakeholdersManage report intake and prioritization processes to ensure timely, accurate, and consistent analytics deliveryDesign and maintain dashboards and models to monitor operational, financial, quality, productivity, and clinical performanceEstablish and enforce data quality and QA processes; troubleshoot data issues and implement enhancements as neededIdentify and implement process improvements and automation to increase efficiency and scalability of reportingPartner with cross-functional teams including IT, Finance, Population Health, Case Management, Quality, Compliance, Provider Relations, and Member GrowthTranslate business needs into KPIs, analytics solutions, and actionable insights that support health plan performanceDevelop and maintain documentation including business requirements, data dictionaries, and analytics support materialsPresent findings and insights to leaders in a clear, concise, and actionable mannerBachelor’s degree in Business, Informatics, or a related field requiredMaster’s degree or MBA preferredRelevant experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis5-7 years of experience in reporting, analytics, data visualization, or data analysis, preferably in a leadership role3-4 years of operational and/or clinical data experience requiredPrior experience in a healthcare or health plan environment strongly preferredStrong critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and problem-solving skillsAbility to translate business needs into meaningful, actionable analyticsAdvanced proficiency in MS Excel, SQL, and Tableau (MS Access preferred)Experience designing dashboards and performance monitoring toolsKnowledge of advanced statistical techniques and machine learning concepts (e.g., regression, clustering, decision trees)Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skillsCompensation:This position offers a salary up to $150K (no bonus) plus benefits.
